維州很幸運的擁有一些
全世界最優質的臨終關懷服務，
但許多維州人都與這些
優質服務擦肩而過，
其因主要在於服務雖優質，
但卻遠遠供不應求。
有鑑於此，
自由黨領袖 Matthew Guy 宣布，
自由黨政府將承諾
1.4 億澳幣預算，
協助維州重病垂危病患，
讓他們可選擇在家中，
有親友相伴下安心離去。
這將可協助 8000 名維州人民
獲得社區臨終關懷服務，
這類服務包括
家中短期暫時輪替照顧、
夜間照顧、專業諮詢、
即使非營業時間，
亦可享有醫生、
藥劑師、護理人員服務。

Liberals to boost palliative care
When someone is terminally ill, they should be helped to spend cherished time with their loved ones, not left to die in pain because they can』t get proper palliative care.
Victoria is fortunate that we have some of the best palliative care services in the world. However, many Victorians miss out because there aren』t enough of those services to help everyone who needs them.
That』s why Liberal leader, Matthew Guy, has announced a Liberal Nationals government will commit $140 million to support terminally ill Victorians』 choice to die in their own home, surrounded by those they love.
This will help up to 8,000 more Victorians to receive expanded community palliative care services, including in-home respite, overnight care, specialist advice, access to after-hours GPs and pharmacists, and carer support.
