5月8日，陈小冬副总领事出席由四川省人民对外友好协会主办的“友好四川”走进澳大利亚活动并致辞，澳中友协维州分会拉法耶特会长、澳大利亚川渝科技文化交流委员会于萍副主席和墨尔本大学留学生代表等近百人出席。
陈副总表示，四川省与维多利亚州于2016年建立友好省州关系，双方互访频繁，合作成果丰硕。中国驻墨尔本总领事馆愿继续发挥桥梁纽带作用，支持四川与维州各界增进理解、促进友谊、深化合作。
拉法耶特会长等嘉宾致辞中表示，此次活动展现了四川深厚的文化底蕴、秀美的自然风光和骄人的发展成就，有利于推动更多的澳大利亚民众走进四川、认识中国。
Deputy Consul General Chen Xiaodong Attends the“Friendly Sichuan into Australia”
On May 11, Deputy Consul General Chen Xiaodong attended the “Friendly Sichuan into Australia” organized by Sichuan Provincial People’s Associations for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Nearly 100 people participated in the event, including President Lafayette of the Victoria Branch of the Australia-China Friendship Society, Vice Chair Yu Ping of Australian Sichuan Chongqing Science and Cultural Exchange Committee and student representatives from the University of Melbourne.
In his speech, Deputy Consul General Chen highlighted that Sichuan and Victoria established a sister state relations in 2016. Since then, the two sides have engaged in frequent exchanges and achieved fruitful cooperation. The Chinese Consulate General in Melbourne would continue to serve as a bridge to support deeper understanding, stronger friendship, and closer cooperation between Sichuan and Victoria across all sectors.
President Lafayette and other guest speakers expressed the event showcased Sichuan’s rich cultural heritage，beautiful scenery and great development achievements, and would attract more Australians to travel to Sichuan and understand China.
